Fate is coming for us all, whether orchestrated by ourselves or something other. I urge you to read all text below, including after this post, and to think. Watch Blood Diamond, if you can. It is a true story. The large majority of people will see it and think, “Oh, it isn’t really that bad, it’s just all for dramatic effect, for entertainment, it’s just a movie”, and not understand that situations exactly the same have gone on and are still going on, even now.
People die everyday, without warning, and little or no choice, let alone the chance of acceptance. Do not take this too lightly, but do not let it drag you down, as either way you will be no help to yourself or to them.
People are lost and disillusioned. Consider some of the articles in the latest fashion magazines. “Drugs, rent boys, and stolen millions” tells us of the corrupt preachers who have led flocks of millions, some internationally. We seek guidance from the outside, if not subconsciously, and do not give our inside enough credit.
“My SecondLife.com” tells of how many billions are turning to the internet as a way to improve their lives. We need to find a way where technology can be integrated so that we do not become disconnected from reality. Some might argue that the game provides a form of freedom, an outlet for people to communicate, and to an extent I agree. But, it is under different names and faces, and entitles people to act very differently, meaning they lose the ability to interact with people and situations out in the real world.
What is your goal in life? Do you want to enjoy it? It is not wrong to enjoy shopping and spending money on cosmetics and various methods of making yourself beautiful if that makes you happy, but not to an excess. We have become a world of capitalism, of instant material happiness, of short cut fixes and low effort goals. I won’t deny that there are souls out there who are genuine. Each of us has inherent goodness on the inside, and the capability to make an impact on many others lives, whether of those we know or those we may never meet. I hope to take these few minutes of your time to make you think about the rest of the world, and if you can do anything to help others. Even just make sure you are happy, and that those you love are, because mood is infectious.
